We begin our Desert Trip from Marrakech to Merzouga by picking you up in the morning either from the airport or from the place we agreed to meet in Marrakesh.
Then, we take a drive through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, which leads us to the breathtaking High Atlas mountains where Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco, is found. After that, we visit a walled fortified town called the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is a special place recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You might recognize it from famous movies and TV series like Game of Thrones.
After our visit to Ait Benhaddou, we head to the famous Ouarzazate. There, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, we’ll start our tour in Ouarzazate. First, we’ll visit Atlas Studios, one of the biggest film studios in the world, where many movies were made. Then, we’ll explore Taourirt Kasbah. After that, we’ll head to a small Moroccan town called Agdz in the Drâa-Tafilalet region to reach the Draa River, which is the longest river in Morocco.

After enjoying the lively Rissani Souk, our journey continues to Erfoud, where we can visit a workshop that creates beautiful items from fossilized marble. Then, we’ll pass through the pretty palm fields of Touroug and Tinjdad, finally arriving at the Todra Gorges. These gorges are formed by the Todra River, creating a breathtaking canyon with impressive red rock walls. Climbing enthusiasts will love the beauty and challenges these gorges offer.
Next, we’ll continue our adventure to the Dades Valley through Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we’ll stop at the unique rock formation known as the “monkey fingers,” which provides stunning views of the Dades Valley. For dinner and a good night’s rest, we’ll stay at a comfortable hotel.
